A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT

Directed by Ana Lily Amirpour

Last night Logan, and I went to a film at the Sundance Film Festival.  We saw this Iranian-Vampire movie.  The whole thing was in black and white, and also a different language.  It was very... Interesting.  I guess that's just how a lot of those films are.  Still, I would recommend it.  Nothing like anything I have watched before.

The Engagement

To begin I will give you a little bit of background.  Logan and I had been planning my 21st birthday, which happened to be this last weekend.  We booked a hotel in SLC, made dinner reservations, and arranged for my friends to come up and spend a night too.  We headed up on Friday (my b-day!).  We checked into the Peery Hotel, did some shopping, and headed to dinner at the Market Street Grill. Dinner was delish.  We dined on salmon, crab, and sirloin.

Logan in the bathroom after dinner.

After diner Logan told me that his sister Lisa, who lives in Sugar House, wanted us to come over for desert.  I was super excited, I love Lisa, and what ever she was going to serve us for desert would be good, it always is.  When we arrived at Lisa's house the light were off, or at least it looked that way from out on the street.  This is when the thought first crossed my mind.  "Could I be getting proposed to??".  As  we were walking up to the house Logan grabbed my hand, not in a nervous way.  But some how I could tell exactly what was happening! Then he said to me "so Lisa isn't here, there is a different reason we came over here".  Or something along those lines.  AHHH...
This is what I walked in to see...

Right when we walked in the house, he walked me into the center of the room, and got on one knee.
There was a small speech involved.  Logan would kill me if I went into any detail on that.  But of  course it was great, and I started to cry.  Then he asked me!
The rest of our trip was sooooo fun I got super spoiled.  It was the best birthday I have ever had by far.

Intro

For my first blog post I am going to go into a little background on me, and my fiance Logan.  We met when we were 16.  It all stared the summer before our junior year of high school.  We had a lot of mutual friends, and would spend most nights hanging out in a big group, usually at Sammy's house.  The night I fell in love with Logan was one of the last nights of summer vacation that year.  We were all over at Sammy's house, and we decided to put on a movie.  The movie was "He's just not that into you".  Now I don't remember exactly how it happened, but not far into the movie, me and Logan were laying on Sammy's trampoline in the back yard.  We kissed before we had ever said two words to each other.  I was in love instantly (Poor girl).  Well long story short, I had to play hard to get for a few days, and then...
We were all hanging out as usual, when we decided to get something to eat.  We pilled in the back of Logan's Nissan truck and headed to Mcdonalds.  On the way home Logan started driving like an idiot, trying to scare everyone in the back.  Well I ended up slamming my head on a metal ledge in the bed of Logan's truck, and developed a mild case of callower ear.  He felt SO bad!  The next day he brought a plate of brownies over to my house, and the rest is history.  Last night we got engaged! and 5 years from when we started dating we will be married
