Puppies, apartments, and margaritas

Koda is about 4 months old and I adore him.  I hate sleeping with him because unlike Zu, he slowly scoots onto my pillow and I end up curled into a ball at the and of the bed.  But how could I say no to this face?

Believe it or not I do drag myself out of that cozy bed once in a while, and when I do it's almost always with Mads and Sam, and involving food.

Also, I have good news.  We are moving!!!!! Next month we will be living at the Aston and Logan will be starting his new job at Vantage, just right across the street! I am so excited to start this new chapter that I  call "Not starving students".  I will have a pantry, an oven, and I will have no in laws living up stairs.  Life is good.

Halloween

Halloween was nothing too exciting this year.  In fact I think on Halloween night I was having a Sex and the City marathon and Logan was playing X Box. At least we made an effort to put the dogs in outfits and take a few pictures.  Right?

Also my good friend Sammy threw a murder mystery party this year! This was my first murder mystery party, and I hate to brag, but I was very good. Logan and I won the whole thing, and the only reason Logan was in on the winnings is because I couldn't keep my mouth shut!

Koda

We added a new addition to the family this week.  Meet Koda.  He is an 8 week old Miniature Goldendoodle puppy, and he is the sweetest thing you will ever meet.

I have been thinking lately that it would be so great if Zuzu had a little friend.  She is so energetic, and requires so much attention that I thought another puppy would be the perfect thing to keep her entertained, rather then me playing fetch/tug-of-war 12 hours a day (don't get me wrong I do love playing with her, but she is a tad demanding). Zuzu has been such a great dog, and friend to us that I figured 2 dogs was the way to go.

I also went from a full time to a part time employee this past week so I decided this was the perfect time to train a new puppy.

There is a family in my parents ward that breeds these Mini Goldendoodles, and I have been cutting their hair for years.  The last time I was over there cutting they said all there new puppies was going to new homes the next week, except the little boy who had not found a home yet.  They brought him up for me to see him, and I fell in love with him instantly.

After a few hours of convincing Logan that we NEEDED another dog this little guy was ours!

These two have quickly become best friends and it makes me so happy. :)
Today Koda was crying in his sleep, like he was having a bad dream. Zuzu got up, walked across the coach and cuddled with him.  Koda usually isn't a cuddler, but Zu LOVES to cuddle so she jumped at the chance.

A few more of Zu trying to sneak some snuggles in.

New Wedding Ring

My original wedding ring was a vintage Opal, and Safire ring that I loved! but lost the main stone out of it a few months ago, when I snagged it on a chair at work.   I decided rather then buying a new Opal, I wanted a more traditional wedding ring.  This is what we got!  I am obsessed to say the least.

Well Logan started school this week and summer is officially coming to an end. It's always a sad thing knowing that the warm summer days are leaving, but now this is just another semester checked off the list so it's worth it. Especially since his summer classes were so time consuming!
Logan had one week off of school before Fall semester started, so we tried to make the most of it.

The Zip Lines at Sundance.  Sooo fun and worth every penny.

And...we went swimming just about every day.

As of Lately...

I recently discovered America Ninja Warrior, and have been convinced the strongest people in the world are rock climbers.  I have always been an active person, but I new I would never stand a chance on one of those courses. That kinda bothered me, although I never plan on being on the show.  So I convinced Logan it would be a fun thing for us to get into, and we have LOVED it.

Squeakers

We are currently living in my Father in law's basement apartment.  Lately at night we have been hearing mice running through the walls, and across the vets. :/  After catching a mouse in a mouse trap, Logan looked around the furnace room to see if there were anymore.  We found this little guy just scared to death in the middle of the floor (we think we killed his mommy). He was teeny tiny, and could hardly open his eyes.  Although I am deathly afraid of mice, I couldn't resist this little guy. So we bought some formula, and took care of him until he was a pro at eating on his own.  And now I am making some humane mouse traps. :)

 July 4th

I was basically just really excited to wear my cute flag shirt, even though Logan said it looked like I was wearing a bra from the back.  I guess its pretty bad when your husband is hinting that you should put more clothes on.  Oh well, Zuzu and I did look pretty cute if I do say so myself.  Logan looked good too.  In his very patriotic Maroon Sun Valley T-shirt?

We went to my parents for a BBQ, and then went to the Stadium of Fire, which was AMAZING.  I was Super excited to see Journey, and there newish singer. Faithfully has been Logan and I's song since Junior year when we danced to it at Homecoming.  We weren't there together but we got to dance the last slow dance together, and I literally cried a little in his coat cause I hated that I wasn't there with him.  I have loved that song ever since.  Also they just don't have a half bad song so it was a good show.

BOSTON

This year for Christmas Logans dad gave everyone in the family a paid trip to Boston to watch him run the Boston Marathon for his 20th time.
It was a bit of a stressful start. Long story short our flight got canceled.  There was absolutely no way of getting to Boston on time for our Red Sox game the next dayso we ended up having to switch to Delta, and Larry had to fork out $1200 more dollars.  Everything ended up working out fine.

On our first day in Boston we walked the Freedom Trail, ate at Quincy Market, went to a Red Sox game, and had dinner at Legal Seafood.

Mother Gooses Grave

Sunday Linda and I went shopping all day while everyone else was at church, and driving the marathon trail.

Monday was the Boston Marathon, and we had a spa night at the hotel.

Tuesday we did some more shopping, and walked to the top of the  bunker hill tower (275 steps) before hitting the airport.

Boston is such a beautiful, quaint city.  It is an entirely different experience from San Fran.

Post title

SAN FRANCISCO

Last year over spring break we were on our honeymoon.  We decided this year we should go somewhere to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, even though it landed a month later this year.  We decided to go to San Francisco.  Logan hadn't been since he was young, and I had never been, but one of my good friends Sammy lived there for about 2 years and convinced me I needed to go!

Our plane landed at about 11 on Friday.  We took the BART to Union Square, where we were staying, took a quick power nap, and then we were off.

First we headed over to Haight Ashbury and did some shopping.  I was really surprised by how much luck I had shopping there.  I loved all of the stores and the prices were actually not bad at all.  That night we had dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory on the top of the Macey's building at Union Square, and the view was amazing.

Saturday was a busy day.  We got up early and went to the San Fran street market at the Ferry Building.  We enjoyed some delish breakfast while we were there.  I had Fresh Strawberry's and Ricotta, Poppy seed Macaroons, and blood orange cake.

After breakfast we walked down the boardwalk to pier 33 where we left for the Alcatraz cruise.
I LOVED the tour it was super interesting, and if you have seen the movie with Clint Eastwood it is EXACTLY how it looks in the movie.

After visiting Alcatraz we walked down to the Exploratorium as requested by Logan.
This is a picture of Logan with his mind being blown, (notice the giant red wood in the background).

After our busy day we were exausted. We got an Uber, picked up some Chipotle, and literally ate it in bed, and slept.

Later that night we went to Fisherman's Warf for dinner.  I can't remember where we ate but they had amazing fresh seafood, and sourdough bread.

Sunday we had Breakfast at Mel's Drive-in, which was really yummy.  Then we went to Ghirardelli Square and had sundae's

After that we went on a walk down the Pier and got a few pics with the Golden Gate Bridge.

The best thing ever though was getting home to my pup pup I missed her sooo much! This is her and Logan crashed on the coach after we got home.

My Zu has turned into such a good dog!
I swear you tell her something once and she never does it again :)

It is so nice having her around, especially since Daddy (Logan) is so busy with work and school!

I know this is probably a bad habit to have gotten into, but she sleeps right in between Logan and I every night, if we try to move her over to the other side of one of us she wiggles her way back into the middle.  We don't mind though. She is the cuddliest thing in the world.  Anytime we are on the couch, in the car, or on the bed she has to be cuddling one of us.  I think it is the cutest thing so I take way too many pictures of it.

We are currently living at my father in-laws basement apartment.  I have a full length mirror that we have set up to keep Zu out of the rest of the house while we are gone.  We have thought about finding some sort of gate to go here but Zu loves paying with reflection so much I don't know if we will.  I will always catch her just starring at herselfor watching herself play, it is the cutest thing.

Notice the little stick hanging out of her mouth.  She loves those little stick dog treats, she always has one hanging out of her mouth like a little cigar.
